Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb) Delivers Government Keynote Address at 21st Annual Satellite Industry Association DoW Commercial SATCOM Workshop

Washington, D.C., December 18, 2025 – The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) today thanked the Honorable Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) for delivering the Government keynote address at SIA’s DoW Commercial SATCOM Workshop being held in Arlington, VA. Senator Fischer addressed a gathering of U.S. Government and Military leaders and Satellite Industry Executives as SIA celebrated the 21st anniversary of its workshop.

Senator Fischer is the senior senator from Nebraska and serves on six important Senate committees: Armed Services, Appropriations, Commerce, Agriculture, Rules, and Ethics. As a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, she serves as Chair of the Subcommittee on Strategic Forces, which focuses on America’s nuclear triad and associated delivery systems, the emergence of space as a warfighting domain, and defending the nation against increasingly sophisticated missile threats. The subcommittee directly oversees two unified combatant commands: U.S. Strategic Command, headquartered at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, and U.S. Space Command. The DoW Commercial SATCOM Workshop, co-hosted by the Satellite Industry Association and the United States Space Command (USSPACECOM*), is taking place in Arlington, VA. The Workshop is one of the Association’s premier annual events and featured more than 50 speakers from the U.S. Government and the commercial satellite industry.
