SIA Endorses FCC, Keep Americans Connected Pledge

Washington, D.C., March 17, 2020 – The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) today announced its support and endorsement of the pledge by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to keep Americans connected during the unprecedented COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.  The FCC’s Keep Americans Connected Pledge is designed to mitigate the negative health and economic impacts of the pandemic by helping ensure continued access to internet connectivity services for both residential and small business customers over the next two months.

“SIA is pleased to support Chairman Pai and the FCC’s pledge that is designed to help keep America connected during the coronavirus pandemic,” said Tom Stroup, President of the Satellite Industry Association. “With increasing numbers of American employees and students now working from home or away from the workplace and schools, it is vital that they along with small businesses have continued access to reliable connectivity.”
