SIA Applauds House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Recognition of the Growing Importance of a Thriving Commercial Satellite Industry

March 6, 2023 – “SIA applauds the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s recognition of the growing importance of a thriving commercial satellite industry, as well as for encouraging and supporting investment and continued space innovation,” said Tom Stroup, president of the Satellite Industry Association.  “Just last month, SIA testified on the growing importance of satellites before the House Communications and Technology subcommittee hearing titled “Launching Into the State of the Satellite Marketplace”.  SIA appreciates such opportunities as it is vital that the U.S. takes steps to maintain its leadership in a rapidly evolving and expanding commercial satellite industry.
