Keysight Technologies Joins the Satellite Industry Association

Washington, D.C., October 19, 2020 – The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) today announced that Keysight Technologies, Inc., (Keysight) is the newest Affiliate Member of SIA.  Keysight is a leading provider of design simulation, validation and manufacturing test equipment solutions for global high technology communications customers including those in the satellite, aerospace and defense markets.

Earlier this year, the California-based Company announced the launch of its PROPSIM Channel Emulation Solution.  This latest addition to Keysight’s growing satellite communications portfolio provides customers with the ability to test radio systems in a lab environment for wireless aerospace, telemetry, satellite and high mobility broadband applications.   Keysight also offers a variety of 5G connectivity products across the complete “design to test” workflow process – from user equipment to next-generation base stations to the core network, including security and network visibility solutions.

“SIA is pleased to welcome Keysight Technologies and its innovative satellite and 5G validation testing expertise to the Association,” said Tom Stroup, President of SIA. “The commercial satellite industry continues to grow at a tremendous rate thanks to a broad range of technological innovations including solutions that provide the ability to effectively test and validate on-orbit capabilities prior to launch.  Combined with the vital role satellites will play in deploying 5G next-generation services, especially to those millions of unserved and underserved Americans, this makes Keysight an ideal new member of SIA.”

“In addition to lending our world-class expertise to enable the development of 5G non-terrestrial networks (5G NTN), Keysight Technologies’ software and hardware solutions support the deployment of a host of critical technologies for the next generation of satellites and other space vehicles. Examples include electro-optical communication links, electromagnetic spectrum operations, quantum key distribution and many other applications.  Our simulation and test solutions support the design, development and manufacture of software defined satellites, from a component level to fully assembled systems.  As an Affiliate Member of SIA we hope to enable the accelerated deployment of cutting-edge technologies for the U.S. Satellite Industry,” said Dan Dunn, Vice President and General Manager of Keysight’s Aerospace, Defense and Government Solutions business unit.

Affiliate membership in SIA is open to satellite companies as well as supporting entities that advocate and promote the domestic commercial satellite industry.  SIA Affiliate Members receive a number of benefits including attendance at SIA’s Annual Association Meeting, participation in all open SIA meetings and most events (excluding the SIA Leadership Dinner) and SIA Member discounts to industry events.  For further details regarding membership in SIA, please see the following link:  https://sia.org/membership/membership-applications/
