Envistacom Joins the Satellite Industry Association

Washington, D.C., February 5, 2019 – The Satellite Industry Association today announced that Envistacom has joined SIA as its latest affiliate member.  Envistacom is a leading provider of satellite communications and cyber solutions to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and its coalition partners in the aerospace, defense and intelligence communities.

In October 2017, the company opened the Envistacom Innovation Center (EIC) in Duluth, GA to facilitate the development of new technologies to enhance the company’s communications and counterterrorism capabilities and customer solutions.  Already at full capacity, the 35,000 square foot facility provides Envistacom with innovative engineering and testing facilities for new solutions in the counterterrorism, cyber security and satellite communications arenas.

“Envistacom is one of the fastest growing technology companies in Georgia, and SIA is pleased to announce they have joined the Association’s growing list of affiliate member companies,” said Tom Stroup, President of SIA.  “Their expertise in DoD and Cyber also makes them a welcome addition to the Association as SIA continues to expand and suitably represent the growing importance and functionality of the commercial satellite industry.”

“Envistacom is making significant strides in the modernization of US DoD and coalition partner networks, enabling those who defend our freedoms or respond quickly to catastrophes to communicate reliably, securely, and efficiently.” said Michael Geist, Vice President of Strategy and Technology at Envistacom.

“Partnering with SIA, who is devoted to establishing an open dialog between industry, regulatory, and legislative authorities, makes good sense and enables all to quickly bridge the gaps that lead to the realization of relevant solutions.”

Affiliate membership in SIA is open to satellite companies as well as supporting entities that advocate and promote the domestic commercial satellite industry. SIA Affiliate Members receive a number of benefits including attendance at SIA’s Annual Association Meeting, participation in all open SIA meetings and most events (excluding the SIA Leadership Dinner) and SIA Member discounts to industry events.  For further details regarding membership in SIA, please see the following link:
