Comtech Joins the Satellite Industry Association

Washington, D.C., March 21, 2022 – The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) today announced that leading wireless communications technologies provider Comtech Telecommunications Corp., (Comtech) is the newest member of SIA.

Earlier this year, Comtech announced the establishment of a new US-based business unit focused on business opportunities in the satellite ground station market. Comtech Satellite Network Technologies Inc. (a U.S. Corporation), will be based in the Company’s new state-of-the-art Chandler, Arizona high-volume manufacturing and technology facility and its existing Santa Clara, California facility. This along with its Canadian based business unit will formalize and improve the Company’s ability to serve U.S. and allied governments as a defense contractor and will facilitate the establishment of a major innovation center for Comtech’s growing commercial very-small aperture terminal (“VSAT”) platforms.

“On behalf of SIA, I am pleased to announce that Comtech has joined the Association,” said Tom Stroup, president of the Satellite Industry Association.  “The Company’s growing expertise in providing innovative VSAT and satellite ground station solutions to US and allied government customers, make Comtech an ideal addition to SIA and we look forward to working with them as our newest member.”

“SIA provides an important voice of advocacy for the US satellite industry and Comtech is proud to join and support the Association. Comtech’s software defined modem platforms and flexible RF components provide our customers with flexible and scalable solutions that enable seamless and resilient connectivity”, said Daniel Gizinski, President of Comtech Satellite Network Technologies, Inc.
