SIA Statement Regarding The Satellite Industry Leadership Dinner
Washington, D.C., March 6, 2020 – For more than two decades SIA has looked forward to hosting its annual Satellite Industry Leadership Dinner. This yearly gathering of satellite industry leaders, executives and government officials recognizes the vital role the commercial satellite industry plays both domestically and abroad.
But given the evolving environment and growing concerns regarding COVID-19, SIA has made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 SIA Leadership Dinner until September 22nd when SIA will also celebrate its 25th anniversary. The Dinner was originally scheduled to take place on the evening of Monday, March 9th in Washington, D.C.
This was a tough decision and was made only after careful consideration. The Leadership Dinner is an incredibly important event for SIA and its members, however we must responsibly prioritize the health and safety of our community, industry and government guests as well as our SIA staff, members and all those who help make this event such an annual success.
We will provide additional updates once plans are solidified for the September 22nd Leadership Dinner.
