Satellite Industry Association Announces Quadsat as its Newest Member
Washington, D.C., January 15, 2025 – The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) today announced that UAV-based antenna testing and RF measurement solutions provider, Quadsat is the newest affiliate member of SIA. The company’s UAV-based solutions are utilized by the satellite and defense industries to comprehensively test and validate satellite ground segment antennas and RF equipment.
Quadsat’s solutions are mobile, configurable, RF measurement systems that offer a broad range of antenna tests, measurements, and spectrum monitoring capabilities in real-world environments. The custom-built payloads are able to measure, detect, and emulate RF signals across a wide range of frequency bands. Quadsat is working with major satellite operators, to provide a simplified method of testing for the antenna registration process. Designed to give worldwide customers cost-effective and prompt access to testing services, Quadsat recently announced the launch of its global Service Partner Network. In December, Quadsat also announced a measurement campaign with the NATO Communications Information Agency (NCIA) to verify US Space Force Wideband Global Satcom (WGS) compliance of NCIA’s antenna. The measurement campaign validated the applicability of Quadsat’s drone-based RF measurement system to undertake military standard testing and perform important measurements required for WGS compliance.
“Quadsat’s innovative drone-based satellite antenna testing technology and government market expertise makes the company an ideal addition to SIA, and we are pleased to welcome them as the newest member of the Association,” said Tom Stroup, president of the Satellite Industry Association.
Joakim Espeland, CEO, Quadsat, added: “The SIA is one of the most influential and active associations in the satellite industry. It was important for us to join to further build on our presence in this industry and gain valuable insights direct from our customers. We look forward to getting involved.”
Affiliate membership in SIA is open to satellite companies as well as supporting entities that advocate and promote the domestic commercial satellite industry. SIA Affiliate Members receive a number of benefits including attendance at SIA’s Annual Association Meeting, participation in all open SIA meetings and most events (excluding the SIA Leadership Dinner) and SIA Member discounts to industry events.
