SIA Congratulates Jim Bridenstine on His Senate Confirmation as NASA Administrator
Washington, D.C., April 19, 2018 – The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) today congratulated Congressman Jim Bridenstine (OK-1) on his Senate confirmation as the 13th Administrator for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Rep. Bridenstine was elected in 2012 to represent Oklahoma’s First Congressional District and has served on the House Armed Services Committee and the Science, Space and Technology Committee. In 2016, he introduced the American Space Renaissance Act, legislation designed to permanently secure the United States as the world’s preeminent space faring nation. Last year, he was nominated by President Trump to become the new head of NASA. As Administrator, Bridenstine will lead a nationwide NASA team to advance the missions and goals of the U.S. space program.
