FCC Chairman Ajit Pai Provides Keynote Address at 21st Annual Satellite Industry Association Leadership Dinner

Washington, D.C., March 13, 2018 – The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) today announced that Federal Communications Chairman Ajit Pai delivered a keynote address at SIA’s 21st Annual Satellite Industry Leadership Dinner. Chairman Pai was joined by fellow keynote speaker Department of Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross. The Dinner took place on March 12th at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C.

Ajit Pai is the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission. He was designated Chairman by President Donald J. Trump in January 2017. He had previously served as Commissioner at the FCC, appointed by then-President Barack Obama and confirmed by the United States Senate in May 2012. The SIA Leadership Dinner is held annually during SATELLITE Week in Washington, DC. For over two decades, SIA has gathered satellite industry executives and government officials in order to recognize the important role the commercial satellite industry plays both domestically and abroad and to honor individuals who have demonstrated long-term leadership and dedication to public service on issues affecting the industry.
