The annual DoD Commercial SATCOM Workshop, organized by SIA in partnership with U.S. Space Command, is a highly-anticipated event held in Washington D.C. It brings together government leaders from various DoD agencies related to the commercial satellite industry to discuss policy and operational issues related to commercial and military satellite communications. The multi-day workshop aims to foster dialogue and collaboration between the government and industry leaders on a wide range of topics.
The past 19 years of the workshop has been successful in bringing a diverse and vast group of government agencies including AFRICOM, EUCOM, SOCOM, SOUTHCOM, STRATCOM, CENTCOM, TRANSCOM, OSD/NII, OSD/AT&L, DISA, NSSO, AFSPC, the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and the White House. These government leaders’ input and insights have played a critical role in shaping the conversation around the future of commercial and military satellite communications. The workshop provides an invaluable opportunity for government and industry leaders to come together to share their perspectives and explore solutions to the legislative and technological challenges facing the industry.
