Aline D. McNaull

Aline D. McNaull – Director of Policy

Aline D. McNaull joined the Satellite Industry Association as Director of Policy in 2023. In this role, she will work with the SIA membership to advance broadband, spectrum, remote sensing, communications, emergency management, cybersecurity, and space situational awareness policy priorities. Prior to SIA, Aline was a senior legislative representative at IEEE-USA focusing on space, energy, defense and research and development policy. In this role, she advocated for NASA, DOD, DOE, NIST, and NSF. She was the liaison for many coalitions around Washington including the Task Force on American Innovation, Coalition for National Security Research, Energy Sciences Coalition and the Coalition for National Science Funding. She began her policy career as a policy associate at the American Institute of Physics where she focused on National Science Foundation policy while also working with the Office of Science and Technology Policy and supporting the interests of ten member societies. As a former engineer, Aline has worked in advanced development at Raytheon. She was also a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office focusing on polarization and optics.

Aline is a Master’s Degree candidate in International Science and Technology Policy at George Washington University in Washington, DC and she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, PA.
